I would like to start this blog by quoting Lasse, who was there with me that day when Tina and Marin got married.
He said:
This is one of those days when you wish you could put moments like these in a glass bottle and open it every time when you feels sad, because it’s going to give you so many happy memories and joy.
Tina and Marin filled the day with so many emotions…what was planned to be a styled wedding shoot, turned into a real wedding day! 🙂
So this is how it unfolded…
I love photographing styled wedding shoots (stay tuned on the blog! 😉 ), because it gives me a chance to share my creativity and serve as an inspiration for future brides when it comes to planning their own wedding day.
So when I was looking for a couple who would like to pose for me that day, I got to Tina and she happily accepted.
An hour later she called me and said:
We were thinking a little and… we wanted to ask you and whole creative team if it would be ok that we actually get married that day?” 🙂
Of course I said yes! It was one of the most romantic things I ever heard! 🙂
“We want to be alone that day.” Tina continued, “No family, no friends…we want to express our love and vows in our own unique way. We don’t even want the registrar there. Afterwards we will go the office and sign the legal papers.”
And so they did! 🙂 They got married in their own unique, romantic way in an old villa, beside the sea, overlooking beautiful Opatija and stunning Croatian islands. Emotional and slightly shaking, they opened their hearts to each other in a completely new way and promised each other eternal love and support!
I am so grateful that I could be there to document their story! To capture all those emotions, because moments like these remind me, over and over again, why I’m in love with my job and why I have started at the first place!
And to a great creative team, who made all of this possible and made sure that everything is so beautiful – big thank you! 🙂
