It may sound silly to some people, but I can say that photography isn’t something I do, photography is who I am. I can’t tell you some great story about how I picked up my grandfathers camera and how I was taking pictures all my life, because my story is different. By the age of 26 I had never even picked up a professional camera.
It wasn’t the easiest journey because, unlike most photographers, I didn’t have prior knowledge and experience in photography. I only had a dream! And I wasn’t going to stop until I made my dream a reality.
The first time I truly started thinking about being a photographer was right before my wedding while I was choosing one for our big day. All those pictures made me so happy inside.
The people, the love, the moments, their stories, all of it…and then I realized – I want to tell these stories, I want to show all the beauty of love and friendship in one single shot! And most importantly, I want people to feel happiness when they look through my pictures, I want for them to feel beautiful and special. I want them to look at the pictures and see their happy faces and remember the exact feeling they felt in that moment when the picture was taken, the exact thought…
I knew it would be a long and difficult journey, but with the endless support of my husband Lasse, who believed in me when no one else did, not even myself, we bought a camera from our savings and my journey began! Today I can say that it was the best decision I have ever made! Since that day I found true happiness in what I do, I found joy and passion…I found my true self.
One of my favorite quotes is
If you can dream it, you can do it. – Walt Disney
and that is exactly what I am doing now – I don’t dream my life, I live my dreams!
I hope you’ll want spend some time to browse through my pictures and decide if I am the photographer you are looking for. In this case, please do get in touch to tell me a bit about you.
