I met Lorena when we were nine years old and she just moved into my hometown with her family. We went to the same class and lived on the same street. We use to play for hours after school. Sometimes my mom would call hers just to ask: “Is my daughter still there? Please tell her that maybe she should come home for dinner!”
My mom just didn’t understand that playing badminton and keeping that ball in the air while we counted how many times we have hit it, was utmost importance! But days of children’s play slowly stopped, time flew by, we were 15 and on our way to high school. It was a cold winter day, so cold that our checks were dry and burning and the tips of our hair were frozen. Lorena never liked the cold or bad weather in general, so she naturally complained:
Why we need to live where we live?! Could it be any colder?!
Not even singing could cheer her up! Little did she know that soon, she will forget all about the cold and start feeling all warm and fuzzy inside…and not just because we entered the school. 😉
She fell for him as soon as he entered the classroom with his friend. He walked by in his black turtleneck shirt and glasses on while gently smiling along the way. For her that was it…her heart belonged to him from that moment on.
They are getting married this July, after being high school sweethearts for 13 years. They wanted their engagement session to be somewhere in the forest and near the lake, since they are both nature lovers, and are spending most of their free time hiking.
Lorena and Goran have experienced true love.
That love which everyone talks about, but few have seen.
