It’s so easy to look at someone and their success, no matter in which aspect of their life, it’s just easy to look at them and wish for what they have! It’s even easier to talk yourself out of doing the things you love, because someone else is already doing it. It’s so easy to find doubt and bad excuses instead of reasons to start!
Today, I can see hundreds of great photographers out there. It’s one of the most saturated markets and it’s hard to find your space underneath the sun! Should’ve that reason discouraged me from becoming a photographer and pursuing my dream? Was I supposed to quit before I even started because there were so many others who were pursing the same dream as me and already had loads of experience in the industry?! No! I needed to take a deep breath and jump right in there and start swimming with the others! (In all honesty, I didn’t jump willingly… my husband showed me ignoring my screams! ☺)
I knew it would be difficult, that’s why I needed that last push from Lasse. And you know as well that your path is and will be rocky! It takes a lot of courage to start your own business and even more courage to keep running it! It’s bittersweet, because success is always mixed with failure. They go hand in hand! However, the more you struggle and hustle, the more you will succeed. So don’t give up and don’t be discouraged by others who are at the moment more successful than you! You will get there, my friend, we all will! Just keep hustling! Work hard and learn what separates you from the others who are doing the same! This rocky road of yours is exactly the one you should follow! As they say:
“A paved road is comfortable to walk on, but no flowers grow on it!”
